Dress I want next

London Fashion week has just come and gone in the flash of a camera lens .

I spotted this amazing outfit.
If i only had to wear one thing for the rest of my life this would be in the top choices.
Absolutely gorgeous, anyone out there know where I can get it?

Macaroons!

What a wonderful day when a package of Macaroons arrives unexpectedly on your doorstep.
So Blessed am I :)
Pistachio is the best flavour without doubt - but these raspberry with chocolate center gave the pistachio a run for its money... just about.

But Then Fall Comes...

“But then fall comes, kicking summer out on its treacherous ass as it always does one day sometime after the midpoint of September, it stays awhile like an old friend that you have missed. It settles in the way an old friend will settle into your favorite chair and take out his pipe and light it and then fill the afternoon with stories of places he has been and things he has done since last he saw you.”

-Stephen King

hahaha

Dont wait

This woke me up today

I asked you to reserve me Box 7

This wasnt the first time and I hope it wont be the last - but I recently became a very lucky girl with stall seat tickets to Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.

Bravo! London's west end shows off on both ocassions. I have to say in comparing both of them I would definitely say Phantom every time. Not just for strength of direction and cast, but mainly for a getaway from life for an evening. Phantom draws you in right from the open scene with the famous chandelier but to the end of the standing ovation.

Phantom is fantastic fun for all the family. For Theatre goers who are new to the game  do yourself a favour and get down to this before its gone .

I have to say one of the shows I always wanted to see was Cats but it was closed down before I got the opportunity.

Cholesterol Haters Look away now

One of my all time favourite ways to spend a Saturday morning in Shoreditch is to take a little stroll across to Hoxton Square and (on a good day) avoid the queue's to get into the Breakfast Club.

This place is heaven sent. Enjoy freshly squeezed apple juice with fresh mint and luxuriate over a delicious Soy Latte while waiting for stacks of pancakes crowned with lashings of bacon. Not much can top this - especially when the Canadian maple syrup supplied as freely as tap water.

Cambridge - Can I come?

Took a drive outside the city to the England that I live in and rarely explore. Managed to make it to Cambridge University grounds long enough to get very jealous indeed.
What a wonderful place to study - im not sure you could help but study hard if you got the opportunity to spend time here. I spent some time watching the punting down the river. Quite enjoyable I must say.
I guess we never know - perhaps one day Ill get to study here amongst the dusty books in the old library.

The Hills were alive with the sound of music

Austria!
Have a good friend who grew up in Vienna and we did a quick trip to her world for a change.
Had a great trip - such a beautiful country - has a lot to offer.
Wowzaaaaaaa

Landed in Salzburg hired a car. stayed in the mountains for a couple of days and then did a roadtrip to Vienna to catch up with the happenings in the UN.

Went to see the Kaizer castles along the route. In other news: im grumpy at breakfast time.
No surprise there.

Briste Geara

Amazingly I got the opportunity to spend a luxurious 3 weeks with a soul mate re exploring islands of greece..,
well well well my goodness.
what a beauty!

Began in Rhodes staying in the Pink Elephant ! I would recommend to all , we immediately and eternally fell in love with the place... with its curious courtyard and windswept rooftop terrace. I couldnt imagine a better place to indulge in my dearest book : Shantaram. Wow!!!

From here we did 7 islands with just one carrier bag of stuff! Maria @ the Pink Elephant was kind enough to mind our bags as we rid ourselves of the shackles of responsibility.
The greek islands have so many stories to tell and there is nowhere I enjoy smoking down a box of cigarettes than on the patio of a greek islands hostel. Meeting random island people like the 3 brothers, or the shaman from Arizona.
some of the beauty was breathtaking really. i hope i never forget the freedom of diving into the blue waters. I will hold this trip close in my heart forever.

Portugese Wedding

A good friend decided to tie the knot and in doing so lured me down to the Algarve to celebrate the event. A lot of fun, so much so that apparently I did not take many photos?

Getting married on a beach like this ---- wow
I'm wishing them both the best of luck. They were a match that was not made on this earth.

What is it I am doing with my Life Again?

We all have goals , at least we all should have goals.
Its necessary to re-evaluate these goals from time to time, get some prioritization in place.
Some of us fight so hard for something that drains us of everything we possess. Never forget that material possessions will only get you so far. They can never enrich your soul.

Thoughts like this floated into my head when I spotted this poor fellow. Talk about a picture telling a million words.

Someone needs to reevaluate their lives.

Coctails at Glade...

Not to be sniffed at... This place does not Mess around. Get involved -- Just off Regents Street.
Good place to go if you are in the middle of an argument with a friend. Very little cannot be resolved once the bartender starts adding rose petals to your drink.

Eire my Island

Every now and then I fall back in love with my beautiful country. Its something of a terrible beauty. Oh how I wish life could be simple enough to let me lap at its shores all day. What id give to rewind to my early 20s - racing through backroads and piling about in uninsured cars down roads that nobody knows. We tumbled in the fields and laughed into the sunset. Id replay that time so slowly in my mind and enjoy every moment all over again
xxx

Did a quick trip back in spring this year and I had a few stragglers with me - Irish virgins nonetheless!.  A nice opportunity to get back on those backroads :)

Barcelona for the Birthday Boy

Did a small break to Barcelona for himself. A city that never disappoints.  This city deserves a blog all by itself - I can hardly do it justice with one single post.
My favourite thing to do in Barcelona is the the following:
Sagrada Familia  - and really go for it. Definitely get the Audio tour as there are so many hidden secrets to enjoy.

Take a Mojhito in this cocktail bar that  I dont know the name of and is hidden amongst the nest of sidestreets in the gothic quater. One of the only places I will ever order one of these. (They are so easily ruined)
Take a spa break! Such a great city to unwind with a day at the spa. The city allows to to remain relaxed afterwards and enjoy the luxury with a rooftop lunch afterwards to take in some of the amazing architecture

We stayed by the beach on this trip and I recommend not leaving Barca without a walk on the sand at sunset. Our stroll got delayed and we caught sight of a beautiful moon...

Barcelona is a beautiful city from its toe tingling sandy shores all the way to the peaks of the Sagrada Familia domes...

Indian Princess

I was lucky enough to attend my friends Hindi wedding. jewels, colours, magic, decore galore!
Totally beautiful experience. Ganesha was present  to help welcome the couple to a new and lucky first step into marriage!

Helsinki for Business

Strictly on business I jetted off in early January to the snowy Finnish capital. With dreams of lapland and northern lights I arrived with a thud on the tough cold concrete of this mobile phone manufacturers palace.

The reality was somewhat undefined and I felt ever in a bond movie at the evil masters headquarters.  Marimekko heaven though and the textiles were bold in the cold city.
And while I might not have gotten the trip to Lapland I did , rather disturbingly get to eat reindeer. I hope this will not delay or interrupt my presents at Christmas time.

Managed to have a great hotel right by the harbor and it kept me warm on ice cold evenings. something like -12 degrees i think. If ever there's a place where it should be ok to wear fur (and there is not) then this would be it.

Also as it happens Helsinki is the capital of culture this year.

That is all. note: dont try to do complex presentations at 2am in the morning after plenty of sparkling wine.
